Abstract
The characteristics of noise in an air force range are different with those of air base or airport. First of all, There is impact noise from firing, both strafing and dive bomb. the surveyed air force range located in coastland had two target, on for die bomb and the other for strafing. The measuring point of firing noise level was just near to control tower which was adjacent to the strafing target. Tower and strafing target run parallel with coastline. The dive bomb target was an island, which kept 1 km distance from coastline. In OA-10, maximum noise level of dive bomb was 70.1 dB(A) and that of
strafing 100.8 dB(A). In K-16, maximum noise level of dive bomb was 89.7 dB(A) and that of strafing 127.2 dB(A). During dry pass on strafing route, maximum noise levels of OA-10 and F-16 were 59.9 dB(A), 81.1 dB(A), respectively.
